The Quietest Place
It's the end of finals season, and I finally get to do things! Among many is the 5th Art Assignment: the quietest place.

Things That Tickled My Fancy
Just a few things from this week that have lifted my spirits.
1. A man with a guitar and a giant blonde beard serenaded an entire bus full of people on a Saturday afternoon.
2. The musings of a 3 year old brings forth the best feelings sometimes, and this time is one of them.
3. This ad video for Sony 4K shows what happens when 8 million flower petals rained over Costa Rica from a volcano. Like... what. *Tip: Adjust the video to 1080P if possible.
4. I was reading up on the list of recommended reading based on favourite Game of Thrones characters while the live streaming for the second episode was not loading up. Ironic.
5. Honey Maid created something out of the positive and negative comments on their This is Wholesome commercial.
6. On the post, Drama on the Streets, Miss Moss clashed together my love for film (specifically costume designs!) and fashion.
7. One of my ultimate favourite artists, Sigur Ros, has recorded a version of The Rains of Castamere, that's to be part of the season 4 soundtrack (can't! even! breathe! idk!). This particular version gave me the chills that continued even minutes after having listened to it. I may just be biased over my preference to Sigur Ros, but I'm not, really.
* Here's The National's version from the first season.
Well aren't I all about Game of Thrones today. I suppose it's because I wasn't able to see it on live stream...So now I'm trying to compensate for the loss. Oh weeeelllllll

A Man With a Guitar and a Giant Blonde Beard
A man with a guitar and a giant blonde beard, perhaps a little past the middle age, greeted me on the bus to church yesterday afternoon with a "How ya doin' m'lady?" He serenaded the whole bus with a song he wrote in Calgary that focuses on the concept of nature and how the mountains and trees and the wind can simply move with our lives, and how beautiful of a dual movement it is. Normally, I would've tried to snap a photo, or record it with my trusty bestie Socrates the camera, but I felt that it wasn't the right time to do so. I had the opportunity to just take in the entire song, and I loved every moment of it. It was disappointing though, to see many people trying to look away and ignore his smiles as he flashes them a couple here and there whilst he sung. Though I understand the lack of comfortability that grew by the seconds around this man as he was way too much of an open book to live in such a self-conscious generation. Can I just add too that he smelled so nice (really dark and dusty sort of smell of roses with hints of the smell of a marijuana, I didn't even know that was a smell that could exist!), and he was dressed to the nines, and his voice was A+++ would [listen to] again. After a few stops, he finished his song and said to me, "songs like these I write specifically for people like you."

Last Goodbye and First Hello
I never had the chance to put up my Document Your Life videos for the past months on time; but I do hope to post them up (in order!), nonetheless. In the past weeks, I had uploaded two. And, I must say, I'm very proud of myself. *pat on own shoulder*
December 2013: in which I watched endless hours of Doctor Who in preparation for the Christmas special, experienced the longest power outage during the driest winter season, and went penniless due to countless trips to Starbucks. Whoo.
Music: "Firing Line" by Cordelia Gartside
January 2014: in which I was participating to the extent in which I had little conscious time to catch enough memories, making this compilation of videos an unworthy representation of my month.
